Hello from The Cismesia Family!
Our youngest daughter Audrey suddenly developed a severe type of epilepsy called Infantile Spasms and Lennox Gastaut Syndrome at one year of age. Despite multiple treatments and comprehensive testing, a cause for Audrey's epilepsy was never determined. Though Audrey faced daily seizures and developmental challenges, Audrey was strong, brave, resilient, and full of joy. Our family and community have learned and gained so much from Audrey, including greater compassion and connection for families and children with special needs. Although we lost Audrey in 2023, her legacy of joy and caring live on.
